The 1986 Silver Eagle NGC MS69 is a 1 oz silver coin with a purity of 0.9990, minted by the United States Mint. Although produced at the West Point Mint, the “W” mint mark is not shown on this coin. Graded MS69 by NGC, it is in near-perfect condition, displaying only minor imperfections visible under magnification. This inaugural coin of the American Silver Eagle series features Adolph A. Weinman’s iconic “Walking Liberty” design on the obverse and the heraldic eagle by John Mercanti on the reverse. As the first issue of the series, the 1986 Silver Eagle is highly sought after by collectors for its historical significance and exceptional quality.
